It’s ironic how hindsight is 20/20 isn’t it?  I am sitting here lusting after handmade items on an Etsy store called Color Me Fantastic wishing I could knit and crochet like this woman. Yet when I was a little girl my grandmother tried to teach me how to knit and I wouldn’t sit still long enough to learn.

My grandmother used to make my sisters and I all sorts of beautiful handmade sweaters and scarves. Every birthday she would make me a special scarf and hat set as my dad would take me skiing for my birthday. Now that I think back I realize how special those scarves and hats were as they were made with love.

So much time, care and creative energy is put into the making of hand knit items, and each item is alive with the spirit of the individual who makes them. Unlike mass produced clothing nobody in the world will have the same piece as your handmade item. That is why I think crotchet and hand Knit items would make great gifts for your bridesmaids & flowergirls.
