These Chevron Streamers would be a fun and easy way to decorate your bridal shower or holiday party.

Here’s a list of the tools you will need (shown below): a pencil, bone folder (or butter knife), ruler, scissors, stencil paper, a sheet of graph paper and crepe paper streamers (color of your choice).

Step 1: Draw your chevrons. This is where the graph paper becomes super handy. Instead of griding out your paper by hand, you can use the squares to measure how long and how high you would like your chevrons to be. I measured six squares across and four squares tall for the size of each chevron. I measured this based on the size of the streamer so that I could utilize as much of the streamer as possible.

Step 2: Cut out your stencil design using either a scissors or an Exacto knife (to ensure straight edges). I cut out the chevron from my stencil paper to use as a template.

Step 3: Now that you have your chevron template and your roll of crepe paper, decide how long you want your streamer to be and cut your crepe paper to that length. Using an accordion-style fold, fold the crepe paper to the same length as the chevron template – keep folding back and forth until you’ve used the entire length. You want the folds to meet the ends of each side of the stencil to ensure a neat streamer.

Step 4: Once you have the desired length, secure the template to the streamer (I used small binder clips at each end of my folded streamer). Using your stencil as a guide, cut the folded crepe paper into the chevron shape. Cut only the middle portion of the streamer and not the ends (where the binder clips are). Keep the folds of the streamer so that once you cut it, it will unfold to the length that you measured.

Step 5: Once you have finished cutting your streamer, hang and enjoy! Multiple colors twisted together or hung vertically can make for a fun installation and add a festive touch to any holiday party!
